Ever since iPadOS 13.4 introduced complete mouse and trackpad support, the iPad's entire experience has been nothing short of outstanding. The cursor functions amazingly well throughout the iPadOS user interface. If you use a trackpad or a mouse with your iPad, you can make the experience even better by enabling the ability to right-click.
I found a manual for another device that said the lower right corner was right-click, and the rest of the touch pad was left click. This seems to also be true for my Miix 2 11. The two-finger tap doesn't seem to work and it doesn't seem to support touchpad scrolling, either. Try out these gestures on the touchpad of your Windows 10 laptop. Select an item: Tap on the touchpad. Scroll: Place two fingers on the touchpad and slide horizontally or vertically. Zoom in or out: Place two fingers on the touchpad and pinch in or stretch out. Show more commands (similar to right-clicking): Tap the touchpad with two fingers, or press in the lower-right corner.
iPadOS is littered with useful contextual menus that require you to tap/click and hold — or worse, a long-press — to bring up. Right-clicking will help you get to them much faster.
How to Enable Right-click on Trackpad
To enable the right-click operation on a trackpad (such as the Magic Keyboard w/Trackpad or the Magic Trackpad 2), start by opening the Settings app on your iPad. Then, click General on the sidebar. Follow by clicking the Trackpad option.
On the screen that follows, turn on the switch next to Two Finger Secondary Click. You can now right-click on your trackpad — simply press down on the trackpad with two fingers to do that.
You can also turn on the slider next to Tap to Click to avoid physically pushing down on the trackpad. That also applies to left-clicking and helps interactions with the trackpad much easier.
Other options within the screen include Natural Scrolling, which lets you determine the direction while scrolling with the trackpad. You can also adjust the speed with which the cursor moves using the Tracking Speed slider to the top of the screen.
How to Enable Right-click on Mouse
How to edit on imovie. If you use an external mouse such as a Magic Mouse (2nd Gen) with your iPad, then you can easily activate the Right mouse button.
Head into the iPad's Settings screen. Then, click the option labeled General. Follow by selecting Trackpad & Mouse.
Click the option labeled Secondary Click.
On the menu that follows, select Right. You can now right-click with your mouse. Alternatively, you can bind the operation to the left mouse button should you want to.
You can also change the scrolling direction and the cursor's pointer speed via the Trackpad & Mouse screen.

How To Right Click With A Trackpad Windows
Both the Touch and the Type Cover keyboards for the Surface include a trackpad below the keys. Chances are good that you won't use it much: It's usually easier to touch the screen to do what you want.
However, it comes in handy if you spend much time on the desktop. There, the trackpad controls your mouse pointer, bringing the pinpoint precision needed to navigate the desktop's crowded menus.
To Do This … | … Do This |
---|---|
Move the onscreen pointer. | Drag your finger anywhere on the trackpad. |
Left-click. | Tap one finger anywhere on the trackpad or press the left trackpad button. |
Right-click the Windows desktop. | Tap two fingers anywhere on the trackpad or press the right trackpad button. |
Left-click and drag. | Hold down the left trackpad button and then tap and slide your other finger on the object you want to drag. |
Scroll. | Slide two fingers horizontally or vertically, a handy way to navigate the Start screen. |
Show a Start screen app's App bar. | Tap two fingers anywhere on the trackpad. |
Pay particular attention to these tips, which work equally well on both the Touch and Type Cover keyboard's trackpads:
When reading a website or browsing an app like the News app, put two How to update logic pro x 10 4 7. fingers on the trackpad and then slide them back and forth or up or down, depending on how the page flows. That sometimes scrolls the page more smoothly than touching the screen with your fingers.
Tapping with two fingers brings up the right-screen menu on the desktop. That's often faster and easier than right-clicking by tapping on the trackpad.
The Touch Cover 2 and Type Cover 2 covers also let you pinch and zoom with two fingers on the trackpad. Also, swiping in from the left or right sides of the trackpad mimics doing the same on the screen. (That lets you fetch the Charms bar or see the currently open applications.)
Tapping with two fingers quickly brings up an App's menu. But because you still need to tap the menu item with a finger or well-placed mouse click, it rarely saves time.
